Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a heavy-duty truck to transport goods and materials to and from specified locations
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks
- Perform routine maintenance on the truck, such as checking oil levels and tire pressure
- Keep accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents or delays
- Communicate with dispatchers and other team members to coordinate delivery schedules
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety and transportation regulations
Skills:
- Proficient in operating heavy equipment, such as forklifts, to load and unload cargo
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance to perform basic troubleshooting on the truck
- Ability to navigate using GPS or other routing systems to ensure timely deliveries
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines
- Good communication skills to interact with dispatchers, customers, and team members

Experience:
- Commercial driving: 2 years (required)
Licence/Certification:
- Class 1 Licence MINIMUM 2 YEAR EXPERIENCE (preferred)

Ability to Relocate:
- Coteau-du-Lac, QC: Relocate before starting work (preferred)
