Scale Operator (Maternity Leave Coverage, Temporary 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract)
Location: FM Recycling, Orillia ON
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM- 5:00 PM
We are seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our team in the metal recycling industry! This is a great entry-level opportunity, with no industry experience necessary.
This exciting role has a variety of tasks and responsibilities. The successful candidate will provide customer service and administrative support to our team to ensure all activities are maintained in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Greeting customers and providing outstanding customer service skills.
- Operating a computer to record the weights of incoming and outgoing vehicles.
- Logging information accurately into a centralized database.
- Verifying and processing payments for customers.
- Maintaining a safe, organized working environment.
- Answering incoming calls, customer inquiries, etc.
- Assisting the Logistics department with basic scheduling duties.
Requirements:
- General office experience is an asset.
- Reading, writing and basic math skills are required.
- Comfortable working on a computer, able to enter info accurately.
- Must be able to work independently as well as in a team.
- Strong attention to detail and good communication skills, in person and over the phone.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Experience with radio communication is a plus.
