Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Person to join our team. This role involves ensuring the optimal operation and safety of our manufacturing facilities through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and facilities maintenance skills, along with leadership qualities to supervise and coordinate maintenance activities effectively. Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment using schematics and technical manuals
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) issues to minimize downtime
- Conduct welding repairs and basic fabrication as needed for equipment or facility repairs
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Supervise or assist in supervising maintenance staff or contractors to ensure timely completion of tasks
- Read and interpret schematics, electrical diagrams, and mechanical drawings for repair and installation projects
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and facility protocols during all maintenance activities
- Support facilities maintenance including HVAC, plumbing, and structural repairs
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from internal teams
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities or manufacturing maintenance with a strong background in mechanical, electrical, and welding skills
- Supervising experience is preferred, demonstrating leadership capabilities in managing maintenance teams or projects
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and troubleshooting automation systems
- Experience using CMMS software for work order management and record keeping
- Knowledge of schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals for various equipment types
- Strong understanding of manufacturing environments, safety protocols, and facilities management
- Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing
- Prior experience with welding techniques, electrical systems, and general mechanical repairs is highly desirable
