Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated Childcare Educators at Level 2/3, available for both part-time and full-time positions. The ideal candidates will be passionate about early childhood development and committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children. This role involves working with children of various ages, including those with special needs or disabilities, and supporting their growth through educational activities and personalized care. Duties
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring safety at all times
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities to meet individual requirements
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity and independence
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and needs
- Maintain accurate records of children's development, attendance, and activities
- Collaborate with team members to organize classroom routines and special events
- Utilize computer skills to document observations or prepare educational materials as needed
- Uphold health and safety standards in accordance with licensing regulations and best practices
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in classroom or childcare settings is preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and child development stages
- Bilingual abilities (e.g., English/French) are a plus to support diverse families
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in special education is advantageous
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members
- Organizational skills to manage classroom activities and documentation efficiently
- Ability to operate basic computer applications for record keeping or lesson planning
- Excellent time management skills to balance multiple responsibilities throughout the day
- Leadership qualities to guide children positively and support team collaboration
- Writing skills for maintaining accurate records and communicating with families
