We are currently seeking an experienced Safety Personnel professional to support and strengthen our safety culture across all trucking and oilfield operations.
Position Overview
The Safety personnel will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and enhancing our safety programs. This role requires extensive knowledge of the trucking industry-both as a driver and as a trainer-as well as strong familiarity with all relevant provincial and federal regulations.
The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and passionate about ensuring a safe working environment for all staff.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies, procedures, and programs.
- Conduct safety orientations, driver evaluations, in cab coaching, and ongoing training.
- Ensure compliance with all Alberta and Federal transportation and occupational health & safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate safety records, incident reports and documentation.
- Handle WCB claims and reporting
- Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
- Perform field inspections, audits, hazard assessments, and job safety analyses.
- Support fleet management with HSC, logbook/HOS compliance, equipment inspections, and driver qualification files.
- Report on Quarterly IFT A
- Communicate safety expectations and provide guidance to drivers and operations personnel.
- Promote a positive safety culture throughout the organization.

Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum S+ years' experience in the trucking industry as a professional driver.
- Prior experience as a driver trainer or safety instructor (oilfield hauling experience an asset).
Alberta Transportation regulations.
- Federal hours of service & NSC compliance.
- OH&S legislation
- Oilfield safety standards and industry best practice.
- Safety certifications such as COR/SECOR. Auditor, H2S, First Aid, TDG, WHMIS, or a willingness to obtain.
- Knowledge of ISNetwork ,Complyworks, Veriforce, Workhub, and SiteDocs.
- Knowledge of Motive Fleet Management.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and travel to field locations as required.
- Strong computer skills are essential.
- Maintain confidential and personal information professionally.
