Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated, organized, and proactive Kinesiologist or Physiotherapy Assistant to support patient care in a busy, fast-paced physiotherapy clinic. The successful candidate will work closely with physiotherapists to assist with exercise programs, modality application, patient education, clinic flow, equipment setup, and general clinic operations.
The ideal candidate is professional, reliable, confident working with patients, able to multitask, and comfortable taking initiative in a team-based clinical environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist physiotherapists with implementing patient exercise programs
- Supervise patients through prescribed exercises and ensure proper technique
- Apply modalities as directed by the physiotherapist
- Support patient education under the direction of the treating physiotherapist
- Help maintain smooth clinic flow in a busy treatment environment
- Set up, clean, and reset treatment areas and equipment between patients
- Ensure equipment is clean, safe, and in good working condition
- Assist with inventory checks and clinic supply organization
- Support administrative and office duties as needed
- Maintain patient confidentiality and professional communication at all times.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, staff, and visitors
- Assist with students or co-op students if assigned by clinic owners or PT managers
- Adheres to the philosophy and policies of the clinic
- Maintain a professional environment by adhering to confidentiality standards and providing exceptional customer service
Qualifications
- Completion of a recognized Kinesiology, Physiotherapy Assistant, or related healthcare program
- Current CPR/First Aid certification preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a clinical team
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinic environment
- Experience in a physiotherapy or rehabilitation setting is considered an asset
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
