Yukon Liquor Corporation (YLC) is a dynamic organization in a rapidly changing liquor and cannabis industry with a combination of retail and regulatory functions unique within government. YLC is responsible for the purchase, distribution and sale of liquor and cannabis products in the Yukon. It is our mandate to ensure that our customers are well educated about how to enjoy our products safely.
The Manager, Sourcing & Supply, reporting directly to the Director, Operations, is a key senior leadership position within the Yukon Liquor Corporation (YLC) and is responsible for leading, planning, directing, and implementing business strategies, policies, and procedures that maximize the operational & financial performance of the Yukon Liquor Corporation. This role partners closely with senior management from YLC and other Yukon Government departments to ensure continued compliance with relevant legislation, policies & procedures while overseeing the timely and reliable sourcing and replenishment of all liquor, cannabis and related products.

Essential Qualifications
Please submit your resume clearly demonstrating the qualifications below, as selection for further consideration will be based solely on the information you provide:

  • Post-secondary education with a focus in business administration, commerce, supply chain, operations management or another relevant discipline;
  • Senior leadership experience preferably in a wholesale and/or retail environment whose purpose is to drive efficiency and profitability;
  • Considerable experience developing, implementing and evaluating operational plans, programs and policies in a retail environment;
  • Considerable experience overseeing human and financial resources;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, ERP and advanced supply chain systems
  • Experience working in the public sector, and regulated industries is an asset;
  • Knowledge and experience in liquor, cannabis or other fast moving consumer goods
  • Considerable systems and process management experience
  • Strong analytical, team building and performance management abilities
Candidates who have education, training and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above will be equally considered.

Additional Information:
Job Requirements: some travel within and outside of Yukon (10%)
Conditions of Employment: Class 5 drivers license, Have and maintain a security clearance
