About Us: Companion Construction is a growing firm specializing in commercial new construction, renovations, tenant improvements, and health care projects. Our carpenters support the site supervision team across various projects in Metro Vancouver.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform on-site tasks: backing, blocking, formwork, and framing.
- Read and interpret plans and specifications.
- Handle finish carpentry, door installations, and commercial door hardware.
- Conduct site prep and hoarding installations.
- Work on wood and steel stud framing.
- Carry out light/minor demolition.
- Supervise small labor crews.
- Perform general construction maintenance.
- Complete other duties as assigned by Project Managers/Site Superintendents.
General Qualifications:
- Physically capable of working on your feet for 8+ hours, lifting up to 50 lbs, and performing physical tasks.
- Valid Driver's License and clean driver’s abstract.
- Self-starter with minimal supervision required.
- Knowledge of general construction duties, including pump setup, tool use, and personal protection.
- Effective communication with sub-trades.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Assets:
- Red Seal or Apprentice L3/L4 certification.
- Experience with Procore.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Pay: From $50.00 per hour
