The Retail Operations Specialist coordinates, executes, and measures the success of MJ Holding Company Canada’s retail business plan in partnership with internal teams, external customers, and service providers. This role supports efficient and effective retail operations by strengthening cross-functional relationships, improving execution, and turning field activity data into actionable insights.
Requirements:
Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with merchandising vendors to ensure visit accuracy, service quality, and strong execution in the field.

Review and verify field merchandising activity reports, translating data into weekly reporting, insights, and operational recommendations.

Partner with internal departments including photo audit, retail planning, IT, and operations to identify solutions and resolve execution issues.

Maintain accurate, up-to-date reporting and deliverables while demonstrating strong time management and follow-through.

Stay informed about new company products, services, systems, and process changes.

Provide timely and proactive updates on projects, initiatives, and operational priorities.

Resolve product or service issues by clarifying customer concerns, identifying root causes, expediting corrective action, and following up to ensure resolution.

Identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve merchandising execution, and strengthen retail operations.

Support cross-functional initiatives and participate in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.

Ability to analyze sales trends, KPIs, and performance metrics to identify insights and operational opportunities.

Experience coordinating vendor relationships or working in multi-vendor environments that support technology integration, merchandising, purchasing, or service execution.

Demonstrated ability to support store audits, compliance checks, and operational standards across multiple locations.

Ability to travel within Canada for work-related needs, averaging approximately 20% per week.
Preferred

Exposure to retail distribution, retail operations, or category management.

Experience using reporting, analytics, or audit tools to monitor execution and drive continuous improvement.

Familiarity with merchandising programs, service provider coordination, or field execution processes.
