Main Responsibilities:
- Design and Conception: Participate in the design of various components of energy production and distribution systems, including:
- Biomass combustion systems, including flue gas cleaning.
- Steam and condensate networks.
- Thermal oil systems.
- Heat exchangers.
- Diagnosis and Problem Solving: Identify and solve technical issues related to energy systems.
- Collaboration: Work closely with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to ensure proper operation of the facilities.
- Technical Documentation: Write technical reports and documentation related to combustion projects.
- Compliance: Ensure that combustion systems comply with safety and environmental standards and regulations.
- Occasional Travel: Travel occasionally to perform product performance analyses.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: University degree in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, or any other equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience: Knowledge and experience in biomass energy production systems and steam or thermal fluid distribution. Knowledge of various applicable standards, such as CSA, ASME, etc.
- Asset: Knowledge and/or experience in the wood drying industry.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and synthesis skills.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
