A busy and well-respected seamstress shop in Nanaimo is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Tailor or Seamstress to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship and enjoys working directly with clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of alterations and repairs on men’s and women’s clothing
- Accurately measure, pin, and mark garments for adjustments
- Operate sewing machines and other industry tools
- Replace zippers, buttons, and linings as needed
- Provide friendly, professional service during fittings and consultations
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in garment alterations and tailoring
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision
- English speaking preferred (to assist with customer interactions)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
