Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Stone Installer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing stone materials in various residential and commercial projects, ensuring precision and quality craftsmanship. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, from new constructions to restoration and renovation efforts, contributing to the aesthetic and structural integrity of our clients' properties.
Duties
- Measure and prepare work areas according to project specifications and blueprints.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to cut, shape, and install stone materials.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and construction drawings to ensure accurate installation.
- Mix and apply caulking or mortar as needed for secure placement of stones.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining safety standards.
- Assist with restoration projects by repairing or replacing existing stonework.
- Perform related tasks such as construction painting, plumbing adjustments, or flooring installation when required.
- Maintain a clean work environment and properly store tools and materials after use.
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools and construction equipment used in stone installation.
- Strong understanding of construction principles, carpentry, blueprint reading, and schematics interpretation.
- Experience with tile laying, flooring installation, or masonry is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of caulking, welding, plumbing, and restoration techniques is a plus.
- Ability to read technical drawings accurately and follow detailed instructions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with an eye for detail and craftsmanship.
- Good physical stamina for lifting heavy materials and working in various outdoor or indoor environments.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and project managers.
