Work Setting
- Industrial/manufacturing facility
- Advanced coatings and surface engineering environment
Tasks
- Set up, configure, program, and optimize robotic thermal spray systems (e.g., plasma spray or other thermal spray)
- Establish and adjust process parameters to meet engineering and customer specifications
- Apply high-performance coatings to precision components including semiconductor and turbine parts
- Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and process requirements
- Analyze coating performance and recommend process improvements
- Perform equipment calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Conduct quality inspections and testing, documenting process results
- Provide technical support to customers and resolve complex process issues
- Conduct Research and Development on new applications, coatings, and techniques
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve coating processes and efficiency
- Assist in training and mentoring junior technical staff
