Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and create a welcoming atmosphere for our patrons. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and organized dining area. Prior experience in food service or the food industry is preferred, along with strong communication and time management skills. The Server will play a key role in enhancing guest experiences through excellent hospitality and upselling techniques.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive customer service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation quality
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling duties
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas, including tables, utensils, and workstations
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed to support kitchen staff
- Upsell menu items to increase sales while recommending popular or new dishes
- Manage multiple tables efficiently through effective time management
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless guest services and resolve any issues promptly
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality industry preferred but not required
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to perform basic math for cashiering and order accuracy
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Kitchen experience or food preparation knowledge is advantageous
- Ability to upsell menu items effectively to enhance guest satisfaction and sales
- Basic understanding of the food industry standards for serving guests effectively
