Our Health & Safety Team is seeking a Health and Safety Administrator for our office in Coquitlam, BC.
The Health and Safety Administrator is responsible for assisting in the administration of health and safety processes and related duties to promote safety culture, safe work practices and environments in the workplace.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Update and maintain employee files and certifications
Prepare and submit incident reports and corrective action plans
Send out weekly toolbox talks
Assist with new hire documentation
Assist with the Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee
Take meeting minutes as needed
Request and issue purchase orders
Support new hire orientations
Support job site visits and site inspections
Qualifications
A minimum of 1-2 years experience in an safety administrative function required
Grade 12 or GED required
NHSA certification or working towards is an asset but not required
Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic work environment
Valid Driver's License and ability to commute to site on occasion
Must be able to communicate in English clearly
Previous experience in the construction industry or an industrial setting is an asset.
