Your role

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to provide effective pro-active administrative support to the Senior Managing Director, Central Super Region of CBC, English Services. You will be working in a dynamic demanding environment where the ability to see the big picture, be flexible, juggle priorities and activities is essential.

Your responsibilities include:
Plan, organize and coordinate all work related to the day-to-day administration duties for the Senior Managing Director.
Organize the time according to priorities and schedule, and ensure that the Senior Managing Director has necessary background material.
Work with confidential and sensitive information, such as contract negotiations, grievances and collective bargaining as part of regular duties.
Provide information to staff regarding administrative matters and procedures.
Investigate and resolve problems related to departmental administrative matters.
Ensure information and inquiries are directed and processed quickly and efficiently.
Anticipate and solve problems and handle critical tasks on behalf of the office of the Senior Managing Director, as required.
May perform research, analysis and some project coordination in department activities.
Establish and maintain good working relationships with various senior CBC/Radio-Canada managers, departments and external contacts.
Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with the following:
3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
Superior knowledge of and experience with computer applications: specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Business Applications, and the Internet.
Excellent ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both spoken and written language.
Highly developed administrative and organizational skills.
Sound judgement and initiative.
Strong ability to handle multiple priorities.
Accuracy and attention to detail are essential.
Strong problem solving skills.
Considering the confidentiality of some correspondence, must be able to act independently when required.
The ability to comprehend and act on complex and sensitive matters.
Professional tact and diplomacy are essential.
Post secondary education or equivalent in business or related discipline, as well as administrative experience at the executive level.
Candidates may be subject to skills and knowledge testing.
