Inclusion Support Worker Needed
Preschool Summer Camp
Oak Bay Preschool is seeking an Inclusion Support Worker to support a 4-year-old child during four weeks of summer camp. This position is Tuesdays–Thursdays, 9:00 AM–1:00 PM.
We are a nurturing, collaborative environment where children learn through exploration, kindness, and fun. We’re looking for someone who believes in inclusive practice and honours the child’s individuality.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking someone who:
- Holds ECEA or RA certification (minimum requirement)
- Shows deep respect for the child, their autonomy, and their pace
- Understands how to encourage participation with peers, helping the child join play and group activities
- Knows when to step in and when to step back, supporting independence while providing safety and connection
- Collaborates easily with teachers and caregivers to foster a positive, inclusive environment
- Is warm, patient, playful, and responsive to children’s cues
- Has experience in inclusive support, child development, or early childhood settings
Role Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one support to the child during preschool camp activities
- Facilitate communication, social interaction, and peer engagement
- Support mobility or physical needs as required
- Assist the school as a whole when direct support to the child is not needed
- Maintain a calm, encouraging, and inclusive presence in the classroom

Tuesday–Thursday
9:00 AM–1:00 PM
