Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire dining room and ensure smooth day-to-day floor operations
- Lead and supervise servers, hosts, and support staff during shifts
- Assign sections, manage rotations, and maintain proper staffing flow
- Deliver exceptional guest experience by greeting tables, checking in regularly, and building relationships with guests and VIPs
- Handle customer complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring complete resolution
- Maintain strong communication between front of house and kitchen to ensure efficient service
- Monitor table flow, wait times, and seating coordination with the hostess team
- Ensure food and beverage quality by checking presentation, accuracy, and timing before service
- Uphold and enforce restaurant service standards and brand expectations consistently
- Train, coach, and guide staff in real time to improve performance and service quality
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, tables, and service stations
- Handle and approve voids, discounts, refunds, and special requests as required
- Assist with POS systems (e.g., TouchBistro) to ensure smooth billing and operations
- Monitor service speed and ticket times, taking action to resolve delays
- Manage and de-escalate difficult situations involving guests or staff
- Support the team during peak hours to ensure seamless operations
- Oversee opening and closing duties, ensuring the restaurant is fully prepared for service and properly closed
- Review reservations, plan seating arrangements, and align staffing accordingly
- Provide daily updates and feedback on operations, service issues, and team performance
- Must have working knowledge of OpenTable for managing reservations, waitlists, and guest flow
Pay: $18.00-$23.00 per hour
