The opportunity:
Join a growing company and expanding industry! NAC is currently looking to hire a Social Media & Content Manager. Reporting to the VP of Marketing and operating from Toronto/Greater Toronto Area, the Social Media & Content Manager will play a key role in the design and implementation of our expansion strategy into the recreational cannabis business in Canada.

You will work with the marketing team to define the strategy for the expansion with a primary focus on the planning and execution of social media & content.

Key services:
  • Planning and implementing various integrated social media & content elements of our business, recreational cannabis retail
  • Determining social media & content objectives and strategies
  • Planning and executing activities related to social media and content on time and on budget, per the expansion strategy, including:
  • Social Media - Planning and execution of the NAC recreational social media network including; community management and content planning. Our channels are Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube. These services include monitoring the channels and participating in a 2-way conversation with customers and followers (on social feeds and direct messages, reviews, etc.)
  • Database & Newsletters – Planning and executing the e-newsletter database programs for recreational consumers, via content and database management
  • Content & Creative Asset Management – Planning search engine optimized content and design for recreational social media and digital channels, working with graphic designers, videographers and photographers and uploading this content to our CMS
  • Online Listings – Managing the online presence for listings for our retail store network, reflecting any changes in store hours (permanent or holiday) creating new store listings as they open
  • Customer Service – Managing intake of online customer service inquiries and implementing resolution and fulfillment for customer satisfaction
  • Reporting – Week over week reporting on website and social media health, including growth, engagement and e-commerce metrics using social media management tool software and Google Analytics.
  • Writing content and developing assets for use on social media channels, the website and newsletters
  • Collaborating with the consumer marketing team, retail marketing team, merchandising team and others to ensure national campaigns are fully integrated
  • Providing inputs and insights into the organization's expansion strategy, representing the digital marketing perspective
  • Developing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and reporting on progress periodically
  • Social listening, in general, and monitoring all NAC social channels
  • Ensuring compliance with federal, provincial and municipal regulations, from a social media perspective
  • Performing other functions pertinent to the services, as requested by the team
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years progressive experience in digital marketing, specializing in social media & content
  • Post-secondary education in marketing, digital or a related field
  • Proficient in use of email marketing platforms (such as Mailchimp)
  • Proficient in use of web content management systems (such as WordPress and/or Kentico)
  • Proficient in use of social media management tools (such as Hootsuite and/or Sprout Social, or other similar software)
  • Knowledge of the Cannabis industry (or similar regulated industry) is an asset
  • Experienced rapid growth in an entrepreneurial environment
  • Excellent and engaging communication skills
  • Project management skills with laser precision and attention to detail
  • Excellent judgment in decision-making, problem solving, and ability to respond to consumers via social channels
  • Start-up mentality = ability to enjoy, absorb and tolerate a high degree of ambiguity, while working in a highly dynamic, ever-changing, fun environment
  • Passionate and enthusiastic to be part of the foundational team that will drive the new cannabis industry
