We are looking for experienced Store Managers to join our growing store teams! As the Store Manager, you will be the driving force behind the store's success, making impactful decisions that shape daily operations. As a primary point of contact with Head Office, you ensure that our in-store practices align with company strategies. Your ability to drive operational efficiency while supporting staff in their roles will cultivate a positive and service-oriented environment, motivating employees and boosting store sales. Exceptional communication, problem solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
Store Operations & Stock Management
- Oversee the daily operations of the store, ensuring smooth functioning across all departments, including grocery, produce, meat, etc.
- Manage store opening and closing procedures, following cleaning and security protocols and ensuring the store is prepared for daily operations.
- Handle all departments’ stock management when needed, including overseeing the receiving of products, product storage, and ensuring shelves are well-organized.
- Implement promotional and seasonal sales strategies, setting up proper merchandising and product displays to attract customers.
- Lead the store’s compliance with health, safety, and food regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
Staff Management & Customer Service
- Interview, hire, train, and supervise staff, ensuring employees are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to perform their roles effectively.
- Create work schedules and allocate tasks to meet operational needs while promoting a positive and productive work environment.
- Mentor and support staff development with continuous feedback.
- Lead the effort to provide exceptional customer service, addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues to create a positive shopping experience.
- Monitor customer feedback and collaborate with the store team to continuously improve service and meet customer needs.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a store manager in produce or grocery retail, with proven experience leading a team.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations, including produce handling, storage, and quality control processes.
- A customer-oriented mindset with the ability to provide excellent service.
- Strong organizational skills needed to perform administrative tasks and maintain records.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workplace.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic by taking initiative and staying committed to company goals.
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs. on occasion.
- Possession of a valid Food Safe Certificate is strongly preferred.
