Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and professional Orthodontic Specialist to join our growing dental team. The Orthodontist will be responsible for diagnosing, preventing, and treating dental and facial irregularities, including alignment and bite issues. The ideal candidate should provide high-quality patient care, maintain excellent communication with patients and staff, and contribute to the growth and reputation of the practice.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose orthodontic conditions and develop treatment plans
- Perform orthodontic procedures including braces, clear aligners, retainers, and related treatments
- Evaluate patient records, X-rays, photographs, and digital scans
- Monitor treatment progress and make necessary adjustments
- Educate patients regarding treatment options, oral hygiene, and aftercare
- Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation
- Collaborate with general dentists and other specialists for comprehensive patient care
- Follow all infection prevention and sterilization protocols
- Ensure patient comfort and satisfaction during treatment
- Maintain professional and ethical standards at all times
- Support clinic growth through excellent patient experience and communication
Qualifications
- DDS/DMD degree from an accredited dental institution
- Certified Orthodontic Specialty Training
- Valid license to practice in Ontario
- Good standing with the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong diagnostic and clinical abilities
- Experience with digital orthodontics and aligner systems preferred

- Experience with Invisalign and digital scanning systems
- Strong treatment planning and case presentation skills
- Team-oriented and patient-focused attitude
- Ability to manage schedules efficiently
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced dental environment
