Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated. Overnight Attendant / Caregiver to provide quality care and support during overnight hours. This part-time position is ideal for individuals with a passion for helping others.
Previous experience is not required; however experience in nursing, caregiving, and working in a fast-paced environment is an asset.
The role involves ensuring safety, assisting with daily activities, and maintaining a comfortable environment throughout the night. A flat rate of approximately $170-180 per night.
Must be within a 30 minutes commute to the Mimico area.
Duties
- Monitor clients during overnight hours to ensure safety and well-being
- Assist with personal care tasks such as hygiene, mobility, and comfort needs
- Administer medications following prescribed schedules and protocols
- Prepare and serve meals or snacks as needed, ensuring dietary requirements are met
- Assist with light housekeeping duties including cleaning and sanitizing common areas
- Respond promptly to emergencies or calls for assistance during the night
- Breaks and rest throughout the night is permitted
Skills
- Compassionate approach toward seniors or individuals with disabilities
- Ability to handle medication administration accurately and responsibly
- Capable of light to moderate lifting when necessary
- Excellent communication skills
- Basic cleaning skills to maintain a hygienic environment during overnight shifts
- Ability to remain alert, attentive, and calm throughout the night shift
- Flexibility to work 2-4 nights per week in an overnight schedule
