Duties
- Haul a variety of Aggregates such as gravel, crushed rock, etc.
- End dump and/or Belly dump experience is preferred
- Turn in tight areas
- Loader, Skid Steer, Backhoe experience
- Heavy Equipment loading/unloading experience is preferred
- Able to work overtime and weekends
- Able to perform with little supervision
- Completes a thorough pre-trip inspection of assigned vehicle and periodically throughout shift and perform maintenance.
- Records deficiencies and reports to the Management and appropriate shop staff
- Maintain a daily logbook (ELD) as per Commercial Motor Vehicle Act
- Operates assigned unit in a safe and effective manner, carrying out assigned duties
- Loads, transports and unloads goods and materials according to known transportation best practices and as per legislative guidelines
- Secures cargo according to legislated requirements
- Keeps all units clean and presentable after use
- Must have experience hauling aggregates
- Must have a minimum of 2 years Class 1 driving experience
- Mechanical aptitude and safety tickets an asset.
- Must be able to work independently
- Must possess a valid class 1 driver’s license with a recent and clean abstract
- Must be able to lift min. 50 lbs and physically fit.

PLEASE NOTE: employees are required to provide a valid Driver’s Abstract (no more than three months old) prior to starting work.
Overtime will be required during peak months.
