Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using commercial dishwashing machines or by hand as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and organized
- Assist in food preparation tasks when necessary, supporting chefs and kitchen staff with basic food handling duties
- Ensure proper disposal of waste and recyclables to uphold health and safety standards
- Follow all food safety regulations and hygiene protocols diligently to prevent contamination
- Support the overall cleanliness of the kitchen by sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces regularly
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy service hours
Skills
- Proven experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred
- Strong knowledge of cleaning procedures, food handling, and sanitation standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic understanding of kitchen operations and food service practices
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting colleagues
