As a Clinical Purchasing Secretary you will:
Perform purchasing, secretarial, clerical, scheduling and booking functions in support of the Occupational Therapy Team and other designated team members.
Perform duties including:
completing and processing purchase requisitions and applications for funding by third party payors,
maintaining related records on a variety of occupational therapy equipment,
contacting designated external vendors to place specialty orders and obtain medical product information,
updating computerized inventory databases as well as typing technical and non-technical material utilizing wordprocessing and spreadsheet software,
preparing for patient visits,
scheduling and booking patient appointments,
acting as clinic receptionist,
and processing program petty cash in accordance with established procedures.

Education & Experience
Grade 12, medical terminology, two years' recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Knowledge & Abilities
Ability to keyboard at 55 w.p.m.
Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
Ability to organize work.
Physical ability to carry out the duties of the job.
Ability to deal with others effectively.
Ability to operate related equipment.
