Overview
We are seeking motivated and dependable Kitchen Helpers to join our team. This role is essential in supporting banquet and buffet settings, ensuring that food preparation and kitchen activities run smoothly. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, a strong work ethic, and a keen eye for cleanliness and safety in the kitchen environment.
Duties
- Assist with meal preparation and food handling
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment in accordance with food safety standards
- Help with basic food prep tasks such as chopping, peeling, and portioning ingredients
- Set up buffet tables, replenish food,
- Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling and sanitation
- Assist with tear down
- Support the team during busy periods by performing various kitchen-related tasks
Experience
- Previous 3 years experience working in a buffet and banquet environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with cooking techniques, meal preparation, and food safety practices is advantageous
- Experience in serving or bartending experience, will be considered a plus
- Knowledge of proper sanitation procedures and safe food handling standards is desirable
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
