We are pleased to announce a new opportunity: Operational Excellence - Service. This newly created role is designed to support our service shops and drive consistent, measurable improvement across the network. Working closely with Service Managers and Regional Managers in the Western region, the successful candidate will identify operational gaps, standardize processes, and help strengthen overall service shop performance.
Responsibilities:
- Partner directly with Service Managers to lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on service operations, service levels, productivity, efficiency and cost control.
- Coordinate with Regional Managers to ensure improvements are aligned regionally and scaled consistently across the service group.
- Ensure service shops are using systems as designed and in alignment with best practices.
- Serve as a subject-matter expert in ISM system as it relates to service operations. productivity and efficiency, order processing and service shop workflows.
- Develop, document, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to reduce operational variance and establish consistent, reliable processes.
- Apply Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to address recurring operational challenges and build sustainable improvements.
- Act as a connector between service locations, systems teams, and leadership to ensure you have clarity and alignment.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an operations role within the heavy-duty truck and trailer industry or a related industry with a focus on process improvement through performance analysis.
- Proficiency in technology, including Microsoft Office products and various software programs.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, time management, and critical thinking skills.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make evidence-based process improvement recommendations.
- Willingness to travel regularly between service center locations.
- Lean and/or Six Sigma training or certification would be considered an asset.
