Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Full-Time Cleaner to join our housekeeping team. We are a family owned and operated small, boutique hotel located right in downtown Wolfville. Housekeeping is the foundation of our guest experience, our cleanliness standards are crucial to our success. The ideal candidate will have experience in hospitality and housekeeping. As well as a strong attention to detail, highly self-motivated, able to confidently work independently with minimal oversight and take pride in a job well done.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of apartment style hotel suites and common areas
- Utilize appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment to ensure high standards of hygiene and cleanliness
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as trash removal, floor care, deep cleaning vents and appliances and surface disinfecting
- Identify and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly
- Follow established cleaning protocols and safety procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations
- Check the schedule for changes in reservations and therefore cleaning schedule
- Maintain organized work area and storage of cleaning supplies and equipment
- Assist with special cleaning projects as needed to support facility operations
Requirements
- Proven experience in cleaning
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, tools, and safety practices
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks that may involve lifting, bending, or standing for extended periods
- Reliable work ethic with punctuality and professionalism
- Ability to pass background checks as required by the employer
