Position: Security Manager
Hours: Monday to Friday - 0900-1700 (hours flexible based on operational needs
Pay Rate: $28.00/hr - $30.00/hr

The Security Manager is responsible for overseeing all security operations within a busy commercial property, ensuring the safety and security of tenants, visitors, contractors, and staff. This leadership role is focused on managing security personnel, maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, and delivering a high standard of customer service and operational excellence.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee the day-to-day security operations of the property.

Lead, coach, and support supervisors and frontline security personnel.

Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, tenants, and stakeholders.

Conduct regular site inspections, security audits, and risk assessments.

Ensure all security staff comply with site procedures, company policies, and legislative requirements.

Manage scheduling, staffing levels, attendance, and employee performance.

Review incident reports and ensure appropriate follow-up actions are completed.

Respond to escalated incidents, emergencies, and client concerns.

Coordinate investigations related to security incidents, safety concerns, and complaints.

Ensure all staff receive required training and certifications.

Prepare operational reports and provide regular updates to the client and senior leadership.

Promote a culture of safety, professionalism, and customer service excellence.
WHAT YOU BRING
-
3-5+ years in security with supervisory responsibility
-
Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field

Ontario Class G license with a reliable means of transportation

Knowledge of Trespass to Property Act (Ontario), Mental Health Act (Ontario), Criminal Code of Canada — Section 494 (Citizen's Power of Arrest), Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms

Demonstrated leadership and team management in a multi-site or fast-paced environment

Experience developing or delivering security training programs

Strong interpersonal, written, and client-facing communication skills

Sound judgment and effective decision-making under pressure

Ability to operate independently as an embedded on-site representative

Legally authorized to work in Canada
