We are looking for a Valve Technician to join our shop team. In this hands-on role, you will assemble, test, and prepare valve and actuator packages while supporting day-to-day shop operations.
What You’ll Do
- Valve automation, which includes accurate assembly of valves/actuators of different sizes and models
- Testing each valve/actuator to ensure precise assembly
- Troubleshoot and repair returned products as needed
- Record shop hours and document additional parts used for accurate invoicing
- Support shipping, receiving, packaging, and inventory counts when required
- Maintain shop equipment and ensure a clean, safe work environment
- Follow shop procedures and safety standards
- Assist with occasional field/site work as required
About You
- Experience with instrumentation, automation, or mechanical assembly
- Strong mechanical aptitude with good troubleshooting and problem/solving skills
- Basic electrical and machining knowledge
- Comfortable using computers and completing documentation
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Clear communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment
- Forklift and overhead crane certification is an asset
- Ability to travel to customer sites when required
