HOURS: 8AM to 4:30PM*

Responsible to the Application Maintenance & Support Manager for the analysis and design of Home Hardware’s Head Office computer applications.

APPLICATION DEADLINE: Friday, June 21, 2019
Tasks will be assigned based on the skills required and individual capabilities including Business Requirement, System Requirements (program specifications, screen and report layouts), Data and Process Modelling, System Design, Test Planning and Deployment Planning.
Ability to meet deadlines with a high level of quality and follow defined processes.
Working with Developers to develop modules based on the approved design specifications.
Planning unit testing of modules, working with System and Regression test teams.
Supporting the Business during User Acceptance Testing.
Establish a good working relationship with team members and management to ensure that issues are escalated in a timely and appropriate manner.
Work closely with other Information Technology team members to ensure architectural integrity and product quality.
Might be assigned to work on projects based on skills.
  • May be required to work irregular hours to support the applications or to meet deadlines.
Post-secondary education in programming or systems analysis. Diploma or degree preferred.
Data Modelling and understanding of relational Database concepts.
Full understanding of multiple SDLC’s (Agile/Lean, Waterfall, etc).
Strong communication and people skills.
Preference will be given to people with experience working in an Oracle development environment.
Must have initiative; be results-oriented and able to work in teams.
