What we’ll love about you:
· Postsecondary education or training in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.
· Project Management Professional designation (PMP) is an asset.
· 1-3 years of construction experience. Knowledge of construction industry, including building materials, construction specifications, methods and procedures, safety, and quality management practices for large, complex, and diverse projects.
· Knowledge of diverse project types, delivery and construction methods, and sequencing and timelines.
· In-depth knowledge of and ability to apply project construction laws and building codes and leverage such knowledge.
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite as well as project management, scheduling, and estimating software.
What you’ll work on:
As a Steelcon Project Manager, you will have an overall responsibility for scheduling, resourcing and performance of the project(s) assigned to you from design through to completion.
· Provide overall technical expertise and administrative support for multiple construction projects or area of a larger project
· Leverage necessary team members to prepare design documentation review and seek resolution from design team with respect to level of design completeness, accuracy, quality as applicable to various design stages and construction
· Ensure all owner, client and project policies, procedures and standards are followed
· Develop and maintain strong customer-focused relationships with all project stakeholders and decision makers, including clients, consultants and subcontractors
Skills and experience in:
Time-management, detail oriented, organizational skills, optimization; project management, decision maker, self-starter, negotiation, fast paced environment, risk-management, construction, general contractor.
