Farm Girl Inc. is a fast-growing food manufacturer based in Mississauga. We make great products and we're building the team and systems to match. As we scale, we're looking for an HR Lead to own our people function and help us grow the right way.
The Role
This is a full-scope generalist position — the first dedicated HR role in the company. You'll partner directly with operations and senior leadership to handle everything from hiring to compliance to employee relations. If you like building things from scratch and want real ownership, this is the role for you.
What You'll Do
- Manage end-to-end recruiting for production, maintenance, and office roles
- Draft and maintain HR policies, employment contracts, and the employee handbook in line with Ontario ESA requirements
- Handle employee relations — performance management, progressive discipline, and terminations
- Coach supervisors on documentation, people management, and workplace investigations
- Administer benefits and maintain accurate employee records
- Support health and safety compliance including OHSA, WSIB, and incident reporting
- Track HR metrics and report to senior leadership
- Drive onboarding, training coordination, and retention initiatives
What We're Looking For
- 3–5 years of HR experience, ideally in food manufacturing, CPG, or a shift-based production environment
- Strong knowledge of Ontario ESA, Human Rights Code, and OHSA
- CHRP designation or in progress is an asset
- Experience supporting hourly and shift workers
- Comfortable working independently with minimal HR infrastructure in place
- Strong written communication and documentation skills

Pay: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
