Our client is seeking a Senior Human Resources Generalist to join their HR team in a fully onsite role. Responsibilities
- Support labour and employee relations activities within a unionized environment
- Assist with grievance management, investigations, contract interpretation, and related HR matters
- Partner with leaders to provide guidance on employee relations, attendance management, performance management, and workplace issues
- Support recruitment efforts, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding
- Conduct workplace investigations and maintain accurate documentation
- Prepare reports, track HR metrics, and maintain employee records
- Assist with policy administration, compliance initiatives, and HR programs
- Partner with internal stakeholders to support employee engagement and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience
- Experience supporting a unionized environment, ideally within manufacturing or industrial operations
- Strong knowledge of labour relations, employee relations, investigations, and employment legislation
- Experience advising leaders on HR best practices and workplace issues
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency with HRIS systems (Dayforce preferred)
- CHRP or CHRL designation is considered an asset
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills
