About Us
Richardson Road manufactures an upscale mix of high-end residential cabinetry, custom architectural millwork, and bespoke solid wood furniture. We are looking for a dedicated, permanent Cabinet Maker & Furniture Fabricator who takes deep pride in precision craftsmanship and structural integrity.

- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in custom woodworking, cabinet making, or architectural millwork fabrication.
- Solid Wood & Joinery Expertise: You must be highly proficient in solid wood fabrication, processing raw lumber, grain matching, and traditional/modern joinery techniques. - Independent Problem Solving: You will be handed technical shop drawings and expected to independently figure out the smartest, most efficient build sequence. High-level troubleshooting skills are mandatory.
- Communication Skills: You must possess strong, clear verbal communication skills to coordinate seamlessly with our design team and principal builder.
- Portfolio Required: You must provide a portfolio or photos of your past work (specifically solid wood projects, joinery details, or complex builds) to be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- High-End Fabrication: Mill, cut, machine, and assemble premium custom cabinetry and independent furniture pieces from solid wood, premium veneers, and sheet goods.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Work directly from technical shop drawings, elevations, and architectural cross-sections to execute builds down to the millimeter.
- Machinery & Tool Operation: Safely set up and operate standard woodworking machinery (table saw, jointer, planer, shaper, edgebander) and precision hand tools.
- Hardware & Fitment: Install complex high-end hardware systems (concealed slides, hinges, integrated lighting paths, and specialty pulls) and perform meticulous dry-fits.
- Surface Prep: Ensure all finished pieces are flawlessly sanded, clean, and prepped to exact finishing-room standards.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Solid, deep understanding of wood properties, moisture movement, and stable case construction methods.
- A sharp eye for detail; ability to maintain tight tolerances and proactively flag drawing discrepancies before cutting materials.
