About:
As part of the collections team, and reporting to the Collection, Manager your role as Team Leader, Collection will be to optimize operations by providing key support in training, personal development and participation in transversal projects. By ensuring effective portfolio management, you will actively contribute to strengthening the overall performance of the collections department, thereby promoting the sustainable growth of the company.
Responsibilities:

Provide support and expertise to entry-level to mid-level employees within the collection team

Train new employees in the department and ensure their training/coaching needs and all other related tasks

Develop the team and optimize the department by participating and proposing various projects
-
Manage projects by sharing all optimization ideas allowing the improvement of procedures and processes in place in the department
-
Provide support to the collection manager
-
Manage the most complex offender files and recommend actions to be taken
-
Collaborate with different stakeholders such as trustees, lawyers, collection agencies, etc.

Collaborate with other departments, including the litigation and recovery management team
-
Search for missing customers
-
Any other related tasks that may fall under this position
The profile we are looking for:
-
At least 5 years of experience in commercial collection/recovery
-
Experience in employee management
-
Bilingualism (English and French) to be able to serve the team and customers in all provinces
-
You know the laws relating to leasing (an asset)
-
Coaching and mentoring skills with abilities to mobilize and inspire confidence
-
Proactive organizational skills
-
Good negotiation and problem-solving skills
-
Good knowledge of the MS Office suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)
-
Ability to speak a third language such as Punjabi or Hindi (an asset).
