About the Role
The Precast Carpenter works as part of our precast production team to build, assemble, and maintain concrete forms. This role is hands‑on, and ideal for someone who enjoys working with tools, reading measurements, and building high‑quality forms.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, assemble, and strip wood and steel concrete forms for precast products
- Read and interpret drawings, measurements, and layout specifications
- Set up formwork to correct dimensions, angles, and tolerances
- Install blockouts, lifting hardware, and reinforcement as required
- Assist with pouring, vibrating, and finishing concrete.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition
- Repair and modify existing forms to extend their service life
- Work closely with the precast team, and supervisors.
- Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a safe work environment
Qualifications
- Carpentry experience (residential, commercial, or industrial).
- Experience with concrete, formwork, or precast.
- Ability to read tape measures, drawings, and layout instructions
- Comfortable using power tools, saws, drills, impacts, and hand tools
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work to precise measurements
- Physically capable of lifting, bending, and working in a production environment
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
