Position Summary
The Weekend Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the safe, smooth, and high-quality delivery of weekend programming at Fitset Ninja, including Open Gym, birthday parties, Race Nights, and other events. This role combines hands-on coaching with on-the-floor leadership, ensuring spaces are properly set up, programs are well-run, and all safety standards are maintained. The Weekend Team Lead supports and directs coaches in delivering engaging guest experiences, oversees program flow and timing throughout the shift, and serves as the primary on-site contact for any operational needs or issues during weekend shifts.

Roles & Responsibilities
General Responsibilities
- Ensure equipment is safe and appropriate for participant age and skill level (training provided)
- Find solutions to problems as they arise or reach out for help
- Encourage and support athletes, ensuring everyone is having fun
- Provide exceptional customer service to parents and participants
- Ensure that all athletes in your group are engaged, regardless of fitness level or prior ninja experience
- Demonstrate the Fitset Ninja Mission & Values, like Growth Mindset and Customer Focus
- Provide feedback to the organization on opportunities for improvement and growth in our programming
- Communicate facility rules, safety protocols and the plan for the day to participants in a large group format
- Promote Fitset programming to participants and parents, guardians and school staff
- Provide clear instructions/demonstrations on how to use equipment safely
Weekend Programs Coach
- Birthday Parties: prepare party rooms, track attendance, guide guests through gym activities in a fun, interactive, and organized way while prioritizing safety, and keep the schedule on time.
- Open Gym: prepare and maintain engaging, safe, and organized obstacles; tidy unused equipment; provide tips and activity guidance; interact with guests; and ensure safety protocols are followed, including adult supervision for athletes under 12.
- Race Nights: Set up and supervisor race night programming, explain rules and format, organize heats and timing, ensure fair and safe competition, and keep athletes engaged and energized throughout the event.
- Parents Night Out: conduct athlete check-in, facilitate warm-ups, explain rules and safety, guide athletes through obstacles or competition-style courses, and create a fun, inclusive, and well-organized experience while ensuring safety and engagement throughout the event
Supervisory Duties
- Main support for all weekend staff
- Directly supervise the Weekend Operations Coaches
- Find last minute staff coverage if required or rework the schedule wherever necessary
- Fill in on weekend roles If a role is left unfilled due to breaks or otherwise
- Facilitate and lead an informative and energetic weekend prep meeting on days that the Weekend Operations Lead is unavailable
- Ensure staff are in their designated roles at all times and fulfilling the responsibilities within that role
- Ensure that weekend operations coaches are aware of and following all company policies and procedures
- Ensures weekend supplies are fully stocked and communicate to Facility Lead regarding any supply needs on the weekend (ie. party supplies)
- Support the development and implementation of the weekly cashout process and ensure all removed cash is secure
- Responsible for supervising all evening events including Parent’s Night Out and Race Nights
- Ensure all closing duties and lock up requirements are completed on a daily basis
- Implements Deep Clean process during slow weekend hours
- Conduct constant safety scans/checks of the obstacles and stations
Qualifications
- Customer service leadership experience
- Prior experience working with children & youth
- Ability to work weekends on a consistent and recurring basis
- Valid Standard First Aid / CPR-C required within three months of hire date
- Completed and cleared Police Record check with Vulnerable Sector Search completed prior to start date
- Completion of Safe Sport certificate

Working Hours
- Saturdays and Sundays weekly
- 12-16 hours per week with occasional overtime
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
