Unilux HVAC is a leading manufacturer of water-source heat pumps and fan coils for use in high-rise residential projects across North America. Located in Toronto, Ontario we manufacture our units in a 70,000-square-foot facility 10 minutes north of Pearson Airport. We are growing rapidly and are looking for someone to join our fast-paced environment.
We are looking for an experienced Service Technician with plumbing and or HVAC background to join our growing Heat Pump division. This role focuses on managing service issues, and some retrofit heat pump installation.
A successful candidate will be organized, professional, an effective communicator, and a protective problem solver.
Responsibilities
- Complying with all internal and external requirements including but not limited to environmental, health and safety, fire protection.
- Managing and resolving service issues that arise within the Heat Pump division.
- Performing regular equipment and systems monitoring and inspection, preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure objectives are met.
- Responding to routine and on-demand service requests and performs preventative and corrective maintenance on Heat Pump equipment and systems.
- Receiving, tracking, monitoring, and reporting status of maintenance and repair work within service maintenance management database.
- Performing Retrofit Heat Pump installation where required.
- Maintaining all assigned tools and arranges for repair and replacement where required.
- Ensuring work completed meets quality, contract response and all other requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Experience as a Service Technician in HVAC or in Plumbing. (We are happy to train, we know this is not a common industry)
- Knowledge of and experience working with air-conditioning and/or heat pumps
- Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve equipment and system issues.
- Effective communication skills for the purpose of data relay, exchange, feedback, and clarification.

Pay: $24.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week
