Job Description:
Volleyball Edmonton is looking for a passionate and energetic Volleyball Coach to join our growing team! You’ll be working with athletes aged 8–17 in a fun, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate environment.
As a coach, you’ll lead training sessions, support skill development, and promote positive team values as part of our year-round programming.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and lead engaging volleyball practices and training sessions
- Teach foundational skills: serving, passing, setting, attacking, and movement
- Create a positive, inclusive environment focused on fun and learning
- Communicate with parents and program staff regarding athlete progress and behavior
- Monitor athlete well-being and ensure a safe training environment
- Develop and implement practice plans based on volleyball fundamentals
Requirements:
- Previous experience coaching or working with youth
- Strong knowledge of volleyball fundamentals and long-term athlete development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A positive, enthusiastic, and patient coaching approach
- Ability to lead and manage small groups independently
Additional Assets (Not Required, But a Plus):
- First Aid/CPR certification
- Background in education, child development, or physical education
- Experience playing or coaching in club or school volleyball
