About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper (Full-cycle/Finance Operations) to support daily financial operations. This role focuses on accurate execution and processing of financial data. As the company’s sole accounting role, this position works closely with the management team and is responsible for the full-cycle accounting of the financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for reporting and review
· Record all financial transactions in Sage 50
· Record revenue based on verified merchant and reconciliation reports
· Process and record monthly expenses
· Handle accounts payable and payments
· Process payroll entries and maintain payroll records and reports
· Process month-end and year-end close
· Prepare and file GST/PST and other government taxation
· Import and enter financial data to HQ financial reporting system.
· Assist with audit
Qualifications
· Diploma or degree in Accounting or Finance
· 2–5 years of full-cycle bookkeeping or accounting experience
· Proficiency in Sage 50 and MS Excel
· Experience with Kingdee (KD) is an asset
· Must be able to read and write in Chinese
· Must be able to meet tight deadlines
· High accuracy, strong attention to detail, strong organization skills
Working Conditions
· Full-time position based in Vancouver, BC
· Flexible working location: Vancouver office, West Vancouver store office
· Position offers occasional flexibility to work from home, subject to manager approval. Then it states they will need to ask before making that decision themselves.
· May require additional hours during month-end, year-end, or audit periods.
Compensation
· Competitive salary commensurate with experience: $52K - $65K
