Role Summary:
Our Chubb Mississauga Branch is looking for a Level 1 Security Technician (Service) to join the team. The main job duties and responsibilities of this role is to assist with performing service functions on intrusion alarm systems, access control and camera systems. Overtime and On-call work as may be required. This is an existing vacancy.
This is a unionized position, and the successful candidate must be able to join the local Union IBEW 636 Security Field Service.
Job Responsibilities:
· Communicate with customers to identify the source of the problem of their alarm system.
· Assist and perform high quality service, proper maintenance and make recommendations for improvement to the system if needed.
· Conduct testing on alarm systems to ensure that the service provided was successful.
· Inform customers on how to operate and use their alarm system in a takeover situation. In addition, educate the customers on basic knowledge of alarm system utilization.
· Complete ULC Inspections for both Fire and Intrusion systems
· Stay up to date on current alarm technology.
· Networking and programming as required.
Job Requirements:
· Post-secondary education and working towards/certification/diploma preferably in Electronic Technician Certificate or Computer Networking Courses.
· 1+ years of experience in in the electronics field or a related discipline, including 1+ years of experience servicing security alarm systems.
· Basic knowledge of security products, systems and standards/codes.
· Basic understanding of electrical and electronic circuits, measurements and devices.
· Good knowledge of PC-based applications (Microsoft Office Suite, etc.)
· Must have a valid Provincial Driver’s License.

· Starting Hourly Rate: $29.50 per hour.
