In response to our expanding portfolio of projects to extend and implement solutions for additional clients, the Bell Business Markets services delivery team is growing and has an immediate requirement for a Senior Solution Consultant.
Prime Responsibilities:
Provide sound advice and counsel to internal and external clients, including project teams on complex technical issues related to their area of specialty.
Consultation on and implementation of innovative, high impact services/solutions that realize significant business impact for the customer.
Other responsibilities include:
Complete vendor benchmarking and provide recommendation solution
Analyze trends in the marketplace; influence the direction of the business
Works on issues that impact design/selling successes
Accountable for functional design
Accountable for defending the technical solution to the customer
SOW – author of proposals; risk assessment; number of resources required; dependencies etc.
Evaluate/validate projects/solutions costs
Contribute to conducting risk assessments and assist PM in mitigating these risks
Drive the project from end to end from an IT perspective
Overall understanding of business/technical problems related to a project to provide consultation on the right solution
Develop business level documentation on technical solution
Explain vision and technical solutions to specialist and business
Take complex technical problems and provide consultation to clients on solving
Review and validate Bill of Material of solution proposed
Knowledge transfer of technical configuration to the customer
Documentation of final solution delivered
Work closely with the technical architect in the development of the solution
Accountability for the professional services engagement with the customer
Responsible for technical training
Facilitates small to medium size group meetings for technical design, problem resolution, and implementation concerns and strategy surrounding each of these
Overall accountability for professional services engagement
Manage multiple simultaneous projects
Experience/Education Required:
A University or college degree in a relevant discipline; possibly engineering or Technologist (DEC)
6+ years of business experience preferably in related field
4+ years of experience in the deployment and configuration of Unified Communication solutions (CISCO, Avaya, Microsoft, etc.)
Training and knowledge of suppliers
May have certifications (CISCO, AVAYA, MICROSOFT, IBM, ITIL, CompTIA, SNIA, project management, etc.)
Any experience in the deployment and configuration of the Bell Total Connect (BTC) solution as well as the CISCO WebEx platform will be consider an important asset.
Strong skills in clearly documenting configuration activities.
Capacity to understand customer needs in order to translate them into technological solutions.
Excellent skills to work in multidisciplinary teams during project delivery.
Ability to work in a complex technological environment with multiple integrations with third-party applications (ie : Genesys, Komutel, Nuance, XMedius FAX, etc.).
Good experience in the development of implementation plan, migration and tests.
Basic knowledge of the following technological elements: LAN, WAN, DNS, LDAP, NTP, Firewall.
