What will you do?
Partner with project teams to foster successful adoption of cloud technologies by ensuring alignment with the Cloud Program and Enterprise Architecture strategy
Act as the customer’s advocate to ensure the cloud service offerings continue to evolve along a track which strategically aligns with customer needs
Partner with customer teams on solution delivery to establish a target solution architecture, provide hands-on support, technical leadership and expertise; foster cloud native delivery practices
Drive customer satisfaction; function as a face of the cloud program and technical escalation point for your customers
Review and refine Cloud team practices and toolsets to drive improvement in the customer experience and success; including suitability assessments, on-boarding processes, support and feedback
Liaise between customers and the cloud team to ensure efficient service delivery
Establish design patterns, artifacts and processes to facilitate delivery in alignment with enterprise
Facilitate small to large group meetings for reviewing technical architecture, decision making and problem solving
What do you need to succeed?
2+ years of experience with defining a solution architecture and leading delivery of large scale enterprise software solutions
A customer centric approach to software delivery with a focus on identifying and achieving the desired business outcomes
Ability to build relationships and effectively communicate with a variety of roles and seniority within a delivery organization
Proven hands-on experience with design, development, deployment and support
5+ years of development experience in any technology stack; ideal candidate has experience in the full stack – back-end, mid-tier and front-end UI
Experience with any of Java, NodeJS, .NET Core, Python (ideal candidate has experience in multiple languages but one of these 4 is the primary language – with Java Spring being preferred)
Experience presenting complex ideas to a small to medium sized audience (5 – 25 people)
Nice to have:
Experience with RBC’s various business segments (Personal & Commercial Banking, Wealth Management, Investor & Treasury Services, Capital Markets, Insurance)
Experience with development or administration on any cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, IBM Cloud and significant Platform as a Service implementation experience (Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Red Hat OpenShift, Heroku, Kubernetes)
Data: RDBMS (Oracle/SQL Server), Hadoop, MongoDB, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Kafka
UI design and frameworks: React, Vue, Angular, JQuery
Experience with automating manual processes and tests (for example with Selenium/Robot framework)
