The EHS Supervisor is a collaborative and influential leader responsible for guiding EHS Advisors and operational leaders in the effective implementation and continuous improvement of the EHS Management System. This role fosters strong partnerships across the business, enabling practical, simplified, and high-impact safety solutions that support operational excellence and a strong safety culture, with specific focus on mining operations.
Coach, mentor, and guide EHS Advisors to deliver high-quality EHS Management System outcomes and effectively operationalize EHS activities.
Foster strong engagement between Operational Leaders and EHS Advisors to ensure collaborative (“shoulder-to-shoulder”) design, development, and implementation of EHS programs, with a focus on simplification and efficiency.
Build capability within the EHS team by developing skills and competencies that allow advisors to continuously improve and adapt programs based on stakeholder feedback, performance data, and organizational expectations.
Lead change initiatives to enhance EHS performance and drive continuous improvement across the region.
Develop a deep understanding of business operations to support EHS Advisors and operational teams in implementing effective EHS management system requirements and operational controls.
Partner with operational leaders to integrate EHS programs into day-to-day activities, ensuring practical and sustainable application.
Coach and support EHS Advisors in the effective rollout and execution of EHS programs within their regions.
Act as a champion of a strong safety culture, promoting engagement, accountability, and a high-performance EHS climate.
Deliver a service-oriented approach by building strong relationships, understanding stakeholder needs, and providing responsive, value-driven solutions.
Review operational and safety analytics in partnership with the Central EHS Programs team to identify control gaps, risks, and performance improvement opportunities.
Develop and implement tailored support frameworks specific to mining operations, addressing industry-specific risks and requirements.
Conduct regular site visits to mining locations to engage with employees at all levels, providing coaching, education, and direct support.
Leverage field engagement insights to recommend enhancements and continuous improvement opportunities to the EHS Management System and its delivery.
Support the consistent application of critical controls and assurance processes within mining environments.
Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP), CSO, or other recognized safety designation.
5–10 years of experience in Health, Safety, and Environment roles.
3–5 years of leadership experience, including coaching and developing teams.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills
Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to influence and partner effectively across all organizational levels
Deep understanding of EHS regulations, systems, and continuous improvement practices
Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills
This position can be based in Prince George, Kamloops, or Surrey, British Columbia, with regular travel to operational and mining sites across the region.
The base salary range for this position is $110,000 – $120,000 CAD along with eligibility for a performance-based bonus program. The total compensation package is designed to be market-aligned and reflects individual contributions, experience, and overall business performance.
