Position Overview:
We are recruiting experienced operators to support a long-term water treatment operation tied to a major environmental project. This role is focused on running and maintaining treatment systems to ensure reliable performance, protect environmental outcomes, and meet all regulatory requirements. The position involves hands-on operational work in a structured industrial setting, with responsibility for monitoring systems, identifying issues early, and supporting stable, continuous plant operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform day-to-day operation of treatment systems and ensure processes are functioning as intended
- Complete water sampling and testing activities to validate treatment performance, and communicate project status to all stakeholders
- Accurately track equipment movements and manage consumable replenishment
- Create service reports and fill out log sheets as required for each site
- Maintain accurate records of operational data, logs, and compliance documentation
- Perform regular maintenance, and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Adhere to safety procedures and actively participate in safety initiatives to foster a safe working environment
- Maintain strong customer relationships, addressing complaints and gathering feedback throughout projects
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in industrial water treatment operations is required. Work experience in cold climate, northern region preferred
- Water treatment certification (WPI Class I, II, or III) is required. ECOP I/II may be considered
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence is required
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate operational records
- Effective problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Work Environment:
- Remote project site with a fly-in fly-out (FIFO) rotational work schedule
- In town accommodation provided during rotations
- Exposure to outdoor conditions and variable weather depending on site location
