Senior Operations & Logistics Manager

The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior Operations & Logistics Manager to provide strategic and
operational leadership across multiple departments. This role is responsible for improving
productivity, leading cross-functional teams, optimizing the supply chain, supporting profitable
growth, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership for Logistics, Procurement, Warehouse, Customer Service, Quality
Control, Production Support, Fleet Coordination, and Installation Operations.
- Develop operational strategies, KPIs, SOPs and continuous improvement initiatives using
Lean thinking.
- Manage operational budgets, workforce planning, productivity and performance reporting.
- Drive collaboration between Sales, Production, Procurement, Installation and Finance.
- Lead supplier relationships, purchasing strategies and inventory optimization.
- Ensure material availability while minimizing inventory carrying costs.
- Oversee shipping, receiving, fleet utilization and warehouse efficiency.
- Lead subcontractor and in-house installation operations including scheduling, compliance
and performance management.
- Maintain high standards of workplace safety, quality assurance and customer satisfaction.
- Identify operational risks and implement corrective actions.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Process Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations
Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline.
Professional Experience
- Minimum five (5) years of progressive leadership experience in Operations, Logistics, Supply
Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing or Construction.
- Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong experience managing procurement, inventory, warehouse operations, transportation
and subcontractors.
- Experience developing KPIs and driving measurable operational improvements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, analytical and decision-making skills.
Technical Skills
- Experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite or equivalent).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite skills.
- Strong understanding of inventory control, purchasing, logistics and supply chain best
practices.
Assets
- Previous experience in the railing industry is considered an asset.
