Marketing & Events Support
Position Summary
The Marketing & Events Support role is responsible for delivering the Chamber’s marketing, communications, branding, media and digital engagement activities while supporting the planning and delivery of smaller networking events and assisting the Events Manager with signature events.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy & Brand Management
- Develop and implement annual marketing and communications plans.
- Ensure brand consistency across all platforms and materials.
- Support strategic campaigns that increase visibility, membership, sponsorship, and event participation.
- Monitor marketing performance and audience engagement.
Content Creation & Communications
- Create and manage content for newsletters, social media, websites, media releases, advertising, and promotional materials.
- Develop storytelling and member spotlight opportunities.
- Draft speeches, presentations, reports, and organizational communications.
- Manage photography, video, and creative assets.
Digital Marketing & Social Media
- Manage website updates and digital communications.
- Oversee social media strategy, scheduling, engagement, and analytics.
- Coordinate email marketing campaigns.
- Monitor online reputation and community engagement.
Media & Public Relations
- Build relationships with local media and community partners.
- Prepare media releases and coordinate media opportunities.
- Support crisis and issue communications as needed.
- Assist with advocacy messaging and public communications.
Event Support
- Provide event support in collaboration with the Events Manager, including digital setup, registration platforms, online event listings and promotional materials
- Coordinate and manage smaller networking events.
- Assist with the planning, promotion and delivery of signature events.
- Collaborate with Events Manager & Member Relations Manager on promotional campaigns.
- Create event marketing timelines and materials.
- Support sponsorship recognition and promotional deliverables.
Requirements
- Previous experience in marketing, hospitality, or event planning is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Knowledge of customer service principles to create welcoming environments for guests.
- Proficiency in time management and budgeting to ensure smooth event execution within financial parameters.
- Familiarity with social media platforms, marketing tools, and basic graphic design is advantageous.
