Position: Entry Level Prepress Technician / Graphic Design

Responsibilities:
Working under the supervision of a senior designer / manager, take prepared documents and files through the print production workflow, ensuring accuracy and adherence to specifications, for small and large format projects such as business cards, brochures, menus, vehicle graphics, signage, calendars, flyers, and other print materials. Perform pre-press tasks, including color correction, bleed correction, image editing, and size/ layout adjustments, as well as learning and understanding the print-production workflow from client to final product delivery. Communicate closely with our experienced production team as projects transition from print to finishing and installation, including keeping tabs on quality / quantity of print jobs and ensuring projects will be delivered on-time and all correct.
Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to print files, such as quality control, resolution, colour correction, file correction, or other production concerns, from a design perspective. Although this role is mainly under the direction of a senior designer, you may independently take on client-facing design roles from time to time as needed.
Requirements:
Education: Diploma in Graphic Design / print production, or equivalent experience Design Experience: Experience working in a design environment, preferably as a team member.
Software Competencies: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and familiarity with adjacent software and products such as Acrobat, word processors. Familiarity with industry-specific software (RIP softwares, Xerox Fiery) an asset. Familiarity with new and fast changing updates to the Adobe platform (such as generative expand, AI tools, dimension tool, and extensions/plug ins) an asset.
