Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled SAP BDC/Datasphere Specialist to join our data management and analytics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data integration and processing workflows within SAP BDC and Datasphere environments. This role requires a strong background in big data technologies, database management, and programming to support enterprise data strategies. Duties
- Develop and optimize data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes using SAP BDC and Datasphere tools.
- Design and implement scalable data pipelines leveraging technologies such as Apache Hive, Spark, Hadoop, and Informatica.
- Manage and maintain data warehouses utilizing Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and other relational databases.
- Write efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, shell scripts (Bash), Python scripts, and VBA to automate workflows and enhance data processing capabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams utilizing Agile methodologies to deliver high-quality data solutions.
- Integrate big data solutions with cloud platforms like AWS to ensure scalability and performance.
- Conduct analysis of large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support strategic business decisions.
- Design robust database schemas and optimize database performance through effective database design principles.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements for data reliability and security.
Experience
- Proven experience working with SAP BDC or Datasphere environments in enterprise settings.
- Strong knowledge of big data technologies including Hadoop, Spark, Apache Hive, and related ecosystems.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, VBA, Bash (Unix shell), and Shell Scripting for automation tasks.
- Solid understanding of database management systems including Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and Data Warehouse architectures.
- Familiarity with analytics tools and techniques for deriving insights from large datasets.
- Experience working within Agile development frameworks to deliver iterative solutions efficiently.
- Excellent analysis skills combined with a solid understanding of database design principles to ensure optimal data architecture.
